Dr. Harvey B. Roddenberry, M.D. FACOG (Emeritus)
Dr. Harvey B. Roddenberry was born in Hazelhurst, Georgia. He received a B.S. degree from Valdosta State College and his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
After completing his internship at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Dr. Roddenberry began his residency program at the same institution. This was interrupted by a two-year tour in the U.S. Navy. Afterwards, he returned to the Medical Center to complete his residency.
In 1973, Dr. Roddenberry joined this practice. Since that time he has served on various committees at Columbia Coliseum Medical Center including the executive committee, board of trustees and as president of the medical staff.
Dr. Roddenberry is certified by the American Board of OB/GYN and a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN. He and his wife, Melanie Atkinson Roddenberry, have three sons, two of which are twins and are now associated with this practice. The Roddenberrys attend Northminster Presbyterian Church. Having retired from the practice in February of 2014, Dr. Roddenberry continues to remain involved in the Macon community.
